The 2019 Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment Award

What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Love Promise Stories from Cliff Wall Subaru

Subaru and Cliff Wall Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here

Cliff Wall Subaru Shares the Love  –  Christina T

To kick off the 2019 Subaru Shares the Love Event, Cliff Wall Subaru hosted an evening party at the dealership for children from Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay Club. The Club members, children between the ages of 7 -18 years old, enjoyed a pizza dinner, and then spent the evening painting sales consultants' cubicle windows with a winter theme, decorating holiday cookies, playing games, and painted ornaments to take home and to hang on the holiday tree in the dealership showroom. Additionally, the kids were very excited to see and sit in the new Subarus in the showroom. Subaru Ambassadors volunteered with the kids and a great time was had by all! The painted windows will remain on display through the new year, and sales consultants are excited to share the artwork with our Subaru customers.

Cliff Wall Subaru Delivers Hope  –  Karen R

On July 11, 2019, three organizations teamed up to deliver hope to Green Bay area residents fighting cancer. The Wisconsin Chapter Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Cliff Wall Subaru delivered blankets and craft kids to The Cancer Team at Bellin Health in Green Bay. This generosity was warmly received by the Bellin Team who were excited to distribute the gifts to patients. LLS was joined on the delivery by Dayton, an AML survivor, LLS volunteer and Subaru owner. Dayton was able to say thank you to all of the care givers in the hospital and Cliff and Sara Wall for their generosity. We can’t thank Cliff Wall Subaru enough for their support of the cancer community!

Cliff Wall Subaru Shares the Love  –  Stephanie N

Cliff Wall Subaru chose the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay to be the local charity partners for the Subaru Share the Love Event for 2018. Through the support of Subaru, Cliff Wall customers, and the work of Cliff Wall staff members, a donation of $13,423 was made to the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay. During the Share the Love event, Cliff Wall Subaru worked with the Boys and Girls Club to create a commercial (see attached) featuring and in part written by Boys and Girls Club members. The children were so proud to "star" in the commercial. Cliff Wall Subaru also worked with the Club for a social media campaign featuring the "12 Days of Share the Love" and highlighted 12 reasons Cliff Wall supports the Club. Cliff Wall Subaru also held a "Fill the Forester" event during November and December to collect outdoor winter gear for Club members.

Cliff Wall Loves Pets  –  Lori N

Joining Subaru of America, during the month of October, Cliff Wall Subaru collected donations of pet supplies for the Wisconsin Humane Society- Green Bay Campus.Throughout the month, Cliff Wall employees and customers dropped off the needed supplies at Cliff Wall and went home with a chew toy for their own pet. After all the donations were gathered, Cliff and his granddaughter, Hazel were proud to drop off the donations at the Humane Society. They also took time to pet a few cats, which delighted Hazel. Cliff Wall is proud to support the Green Bay community, including our animal population.

Cliff Wall Subaru Helps Flashing Flooding Victims  –  Mike D

On Monday evening, September 17, unexpected and strong thunderstorms moved through the east side of Green Bay. The rain caused sudden flash-flooding of 5-10 feet of water in the neighborhoods around Cliff Wall Subaru. Around 7 PM, along with the neighborhood, the dealership lost power, but that didn't stop the Cliff Wall sales team from moving vehicle inventories to higher ground. Fortunately, the team moved all but one (not a Subaru!) vehicle in time to avoid the fast-rising water. Many of our neighbors were not as lucky. The nearest fire station took on as much as 10 feet of water and many of the neighboring homes suffered significant water damage. On Friday, September 21, Cliff Wall Subaru Service Manager, Mike Destiche joined the American Red Cross, Brown County Human Resources, the Salvation Army, and other community agencies at Resource Event for victims of the flooding. Using his years of experience in both service and collision repair, Mike was able to offer advice and assistance to victims related to their water-damaged vehicles. While the flash flood left many of the neighborhood vehicles as total losses, Cliff Wall Subaru is proud to help as we are able.

Walking with a Purpose  –  Monica W

Cliff Wall Subaru employee, Monica Wiegand and her three year old son recently completed the Down Syndrome Awareness Walk in Green Bay, WI. Before her son's birth, the doctors told Monica and her husband that their child might be born with down syndrome. While they awaited test results, Monica researched about the disorder and realized how important it was for families to have support. Although Monica's son was born healthy, her passion for supporting families affected by down syndrome was also born. Monica has shared her passion with Cliff Wall Subaru and we were proud to sponsor a "fact sign" along the route.

Cliff Wall Shares the Love  –  Cliff W

Cliff Wall Subaru proudly donated over $5000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay through Subaru's Share the Love program this year. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay offers a safe and inviting place for children to play, grow, and learn. Cliff originally became familiar with the "Club" when his daughter worked her first post-college job there. While Cliff, eventually recruited his daughter to join the work at the dealership, his belief in the Club's mission of equipping young people to reach full-potential remained. In May 2018, Cliff, his wife, Betty, two of his grandchildren, and Cliff Wall Subaru staff, were on hand to present a check to members and staff of the Club.

Cliff Wall Subaru Loves to Care  –  Cliff W

During the month of June, Cliff Wall Subaru participated in the Subaru of America Loves to Care program. At the end of June, Cliff Wall Subaru employees packed an Ascent with customers' messages of hope, blankets, and care kits. Cliff and a Subaru Ambassador then delivered the Bellin Health Cancer Center. The blankets will be given to cancer fighters to offer comfort and warmth during their treatment.

Cliff Wall Subaru Brings Light To Cancer Patients  –  Megan K

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Wisconsin Chapter was elated to once again partner with Cliff Wall Subaru to deliver blankets, craft kits, and messages of support and hope to patients at Bellin Health in GreenBay. This is the third year that these incredible establishments have partnered together to bring light to patients going through a dark and difficult time. To the delight of staff and patients, blankets were brought into the beautiful lobby by Cliff Wall, owner of Cliff Wall Subaru, himself and his amazing team. “These blankets go quick, and the patients love them,” said many members of the Bellin Health staff. Those receiving treatments are thrilled to receive not only a bit of comfort but are also touched by the words of hope and the amount of love being showered on them by people in their community. It’s an honor to work with such a caring team from a wonderful Subaru retail location who truly embody the fact that “Subaru Loves to Care”.

Cliff Wall delivers HOPE to Bellin Cancer Center  –  Naomi G

Subaru and NWF Love the Earth!  –  Mark S

My school thanks the National Wildlife Federation, Subaru and their Subaru Loves the Earth program and Cliff Wall Subaru company here in Green Bay for donating the Pollinator Garden plants and equipment to Green Bay East High School and the Agriscience/Natural Resources program. I am forwarding a few pictures for your perusal. We installed the garden in mid-May. The Wall family was present. The location is not in a "wild" area of our school property but next to the athletic field complex because we wanted maximum exposure to the public in seeing the nature of this project. It is my hope to use the $100 gift card donation to purchase more pollinator plants to install in our Outdoor Land Laboratory which is some distance from the general flow of people on our school campus. Thank you again for the wonderful program. It has made a positive impact upon my students, administration and me.

We support the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay  –  Stephanie S

We're proud to partner with The Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay. They serve an average of 750 children per day through its eight locations. Whether the focus is academic success, good charactor and citizenship, or living a healthy lifestyle, the secret ingredient is providing an educational experience that is fun. Their good work is evident in their figures. There are more than 1,100 homeless children enrolled in Green Bay Area Public Schools. 4 out of 10 members live in extreme poverty with household incomes of less than $10,000. 103,229 meals were served at eight Club locations in 2014. 265 Club Members volunteered in the community in 2014.The Teens2Work Program has prepped 481 teens for the workforce. In the fall of 2014, 16 club alumni started college, 11 are first generation college students. The club serves children ranging from 7-18 years old and the annual membership fee is $10. Cliff Wall Subaru chose The Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay as our "Share The Love" Hometown Charity, but we also wanted to do even more for the organization. Cliff Wall and his wife Betty donated an additional $100 per new vehicle sold during the "Share The Love" event. On January 14th, Cliff and Betty Wall presented a check to the Club in the amount of $7,100. (Share The Love Donation to follow) Accepting the check on behalf of the BGCGB was Stephanie Schallhorn the Marketing and Community relations Manager.
